The Longest Day Tomorrow
Australia's summer soltice occurs tomorrow. For those people who still have to go to work for three days while everyone else is at the beach it will seem like a long Monday. According to the web site which tracks these events (http://thelongestday.com) the maximum tilt of earth towards the sun in the southern hemisphere will occur at 6:04pm AEST on Monday 22 December. The sun will have tracked directly overhead at Rockhampton on the tropic of Capricorn 23?27' south of the equator.
