Private School Fees up 5.9%
Private School Fees for 2004 will be 5.9% higher than in 2003 according to a survey published in today's Sydney Morning Herald. Whilst it's a lower increase than last years 7.5%, the average rise over the last 11 years has been 6.7%pa versus average wage rises of 4.2%pa.
FinDem estimates that school age population is set to decline by about 8% over the next five years as the baby boomers exit the P&C ranks and the recent years' fertility decline takes effect in lower adolescent numbers.
