Boomers Enter the 60 Zone
Happy New Year and happy 60th year to the first of the Baby Boomers. The Baby Boomers are the generation born form 1946 to 1963 which means the oldest will turn 60 in 2006. There are 259,157 Australian first year boomers, an increase of 40,000 over the 60 year olds of 2005.
The Sydney Morning Herald today lists famous boomers born in 1946 including evergreen songster Brian Cadd (who wrote songs for Joe Cocker, Glenn Shorrock and Glenn Campbell such as 'A Little Ray of Sunshine') and Bill Clinton (who rode to victory in his 1992 election bus to the sound of Fleetwood Mac's 'Dont Stop Thinkin about Tomorrow').
