Pension Hits $250pw
Age Pensioners are due for their 6 monthly increase on 20 March 2006 and the pension will hit $250pw for Single People. The Age Pension commenced in Australia in 1909 at $1 per week and increases have matched average increase in wages at 5.8%pa over the 97 years of its history.
