Population Hits 21 Million
The Australian Population hit 21 million today according ot the population clock on the ABS website. On most recent trends, an extra million is added to the population every 4 years. Every day adds 745 births and 443 migrants and subtracts 361 deaths.
Recent notable milestones in global populations have been the USA population reaching 300 million in late 2006 and World population estimated at 6,500 million in early 2006. Population of our near neighbour Indonesia is 234 million.
